Vivienne Comes Home!

Scotty came and brought us breakfast from the Whole Foods bar and Jamba Juice!  Everything is yummy after just having a baby!  I usually devour cran-apple juice after having a baby...like gallons of it for some reason...and they didn't have any at St. Luke's...so this was a treat for me!  It's the little things guys!

We got some little posing pictures in!

Southern view @ 57th Street.

Had to do it!  Freedom tower is way far in the back, on the left hand side.  You can barely see it.

She's an official New Yorker...so she had to have an apple outfit!

Girls went to school and then came to pick us up and take us home!

We found a parking instantly, so we just walked home!

Couldn't wait to get her out of the carseat and rock her!

And life was never the same again!

A VERY "Vee-Pie" Update. The rest of day 1.

It's no surprise that Vivi already has dozens of nicknames.
"Vee-Pie" is just one of the delicious names we call her!

The sisters meet.

A few hours after Vivi was born, the visitors started coming!  I've found that it is so hard to get rest right after giving birth.  So much adreneline!  So many emotions!  So much to love on!  I remember feeling fantastic that first 18 hours after.  We got the GO to be discharged early, so we jumped on it!
Scott's friend Pat showed up with a ridiculous amount of balloons!  I was just imagining him walking to the hospital, a single guy, with 5 helium balloons!  Hilarious.  Scotty's got some great friends!

Aunt KT.

When the girls walked in to meet Vivi, of course they were over the moon!  SO excited.  They came in with a vase of carnations for us.  My mom told me how the girls knew exactly where they wanted to go to get the flowers.  So they showed my mom to our old street that we lived on, to the flower guy on the corner.  Ella and Paisley chose these pretty carnations.  They found a pink vase and the guy tied a ribbon around it.  It was a sweet story when she told me, but every time I think about it now, I get all teary and think about how happy and excited they probably where!  On their way to meet their baby sister and bringing her flowers that they picked out...I cant wait til I can do that with my grand-kids someday. :)  I think one of my favorite parts of having Vivi here, is imagining the experience through Ella and Paisley's eyes.

Vivi straight from heaven!

This Summer.

A west-coast trip was not in the plans for this summer.  We were just there this past spring....and with a new baby, we figured we would skip....but Grandma Sue offered to take the girls home with her after she, my dad, Jen and her kids went to South Africa!  They flew in and out of JFK and this lucky mama enjoyed almost a week with my sweet, new baby!  I then flew out with Vivi and stayed 2 weeks!  Gotta make it worth it, right?!  It was relaxing and everything that I love about the west-coast.  Family. Friends. Food.

It is SO nice to have a brother and sister in law in town to visit!  I've got so many pictures of the Parmenter cutie cousins on my iphone!  Vivi got to meet her Great- Grandparents, Uncle Jason and the Allreds!!

We had planned to come home after a week, but we HAD to take a trip up to Utah!  With some last minute planning, the girls and I were on our way!  It was SO fun and a breath of fresh air!

We also got to see Caden off to College!  UNR!
