Seven Month Old Birthday and sick, at the MET.

What we thought we looked like.

What fellow museum goers thought we looked like.

 HA!

What we really looked like.

Loved walking the halls with this baby in Ergo.  She slept a majority of the time, thankfully because I was actually chaperoning Paisley's class field trip.  BTW!  We've got a bus strike that started yesterday, so no School buses the past two days.  The class walked across Central Park, to the MET, with temperatures in the 30's ya'll!!  (We took a cab bc of the sickie baby.)
Beautiful morning at the MET!  Love our seven month old, who is learning how to clap her hands!

Walnut Creek and San Fran 10 years Later.

In September we made a very special trip to California for our niece, Macie's baptism and to visit family!  It was Vivi's 3rd and 4th flight.  She did fantastic, although that flight felt like it took forever!

Started out the day in San Fransisco.  We wanted to show the girls Fisherman's Warf.  Did the tourist thing, ate at Boudin, a huge Sundae at Ghirardelli, Lombard Street and we may have squeezed in some In-n-Out too! ;)  I've got the sweetest video of the girls playing around this mermaid fountain as toddlers.  Fun to be back.

Cousin time is always cherished and I always love spending time with some of my favorite women!  Paka and Mimi took us to Fairy Land, which was adorable and so fun!  We had a really enjoyable, though fast, weekend!

On Saturday, Macie was baptized by her dad!  So glad we could be there.

Then we all changed, packed up and went up Tilden Regional Park where there was a train ride, a carousel, fried chicken and ice cream, so a HUGE treat it was!

Plus, we got to be with this group!  LOVE, LOVE, LOVE all these children!  They are all just, so good and kind and loving!

Hugs and Kisses from Scotty, Jubie, Ella, Peso andVivi
Thank you for the memorable weekend!

And just for fun facts sake, exactly 10 years ago, that weekend in September (I believe), I took a trip to San Fransisco with Scott and his parents!  Right before we were engaged.

The Nutcracker at Lincoln Center.

I love surprises.  But only when I'm not the one being surprised.  :)  I friend posted on Facebook that she had two tickets she was trying to sell for the Nutcracker that night, at a discounted price.  So I JUMPED on it!  Paisley happened to have ballet that evening on the same street, so I snuck in a fancy dress and after I picked her up, I told her to change into it for a special Mommy/ Daughter night.  I told her we were going to see the Nutcracker and she squealed out loud!  We ate at her ballet cafeteria and walked over to Lincoln Center.  It was perfect.  Perfect length, great seats, beautiful ballerinas!  It was a treat for Paisley to watch and a treat for me to watch her enjoy it!  It also gave her motivation to stick with ballet even though it makes her days busy and tiring sometimes.  After the ballet, we ran into friends Leslie and her daughter.  It was Leslie's birthday and she is a photographer!  And she was SO nice to take a few pictures of Paisley and I...on her 30th birthday outing with her daughter!  She is just too sweet.  I will treasure these forever.  Thank you Leslie!

And these are my iphone pictures of the night!

Sundays.

Another first for us this year, was caroling at The Brick Presbyterian Church.
Bus ride over to the East side!

Lots of groups walking to the same place! :)  Beautiful Community gathering.

"On the first Sunday in December, our congregation and neighbors come together on Park Avenue in front of the church steps for words of remembrance and celebration from Michael Lindvall and a rousing Carol Sing with our community. In 1945, following the end of WWII, Mrs. Stephen C. Clark and some of her friends who had also lost sons and daughters in that war, installed lighted trees along Park Avenue as a memorial not only to their children, but to those from throughout the city who had given their lives. These trees were first lighted on Dec. 17, 1945, and dedicated to the memory of those who had died in all of our country's wars. Subsequently, they became known as the Park Avenue Memorial Trees.  In recent years, the memorial has expanded to involve and celebrate all faiths, while furthering the cause of peace and invoking reverence for those who have sacrificed their lives."

Description taken from here.

Such a wonderful experience!  Another tradition on the already long list!
