Favorite Paka and Mimi Pictures.

Making Smores.

Playing Wii! And she likes to, too! BTW- I read some research study about father's who play video games with their daughter's, had a closer relationship than those that didn't (that's a very brief synopsis) By the above picture, I could guess you would find the same to be with Mother/Son game playing?

So, Ella is afraid of bees...

...but apparently she is not afraid of walking on ropes, wood planks and metal, suspended about 3 stories in the air, with only a harness...and in rainboots!!

Her Aunt Kalyn and Elise were there to help. Along with Scott and I rootin' her on from the sidelines. I had open toed shoes (imagine that!) and couldn't go! She spent a good 25 minutes up there, we were proud and nervous to say the least. Everytime she reached a platform she hugged the huge column. I'm glad that she challenges herself sometimes. She didn't fall once! Love that one!

Happy Mother's Day to all of the FABULOUS people (there are many!) who have loved and guided me throughout my life. I remember you everyday as I try to do the same. Love to you all. And especially to my mom, who taught me how to be what I always wanted to be...a mommy! She made it look so easy ;) Being a mom is not at all like a thought it would be (Is it for anyone? I'd really like to know!) but in some ways, it is so much better than I could have ever imagined! Happy Mother's Day!

I love him!

Scotty and I went on a very long date, out on the town in Salt Lake City! We were waiting for our neice Elise, to fly in from New York so we could pick her up!

First we got a refill on our Hot Dog on a Stick Lemonade at the Mall, then we changed clothes in the family bathroom! I love those! Next was Deseret Book where we got Lion House Orange Rolls and Ice Cream from the creamery. (Along with miniature Book of Mormons for our girls and a few other fantastic books! Libby Boom is a cute one if you get the chance to read it. Then we went to the temple at 8 o'clock. (gorgeous, wonderful, peaceful) Then we went to a movie at 10:35 pm. (It was the movie about the guy that bombed trains. I can't remember the name of it, but I do remember the anxiety and fear that I felt watching it. Good pick Scott! ;) Then we went to McDonald's at 12:30 am, b/c that's the only place open past 9pm in Utah. (Their new oatmeal was good! Especially with a diet Coke.) Then we "sat" (haha) in the parking lot at the SLC Airport (that reminds me of a drive-in theatre) until 2 am!

Good thing Leesy is totally worth the wait. ;)

It was a good date.

The Cottage!

We had one goal. To sit at the cottage and enjoy a week with family! With all of the thoughtful activities Mimi had planned, our goal was very easy to accomplish. Here's a whole lot of pictures of just SOME of the fun things we did! And can I just say that I feel so blessed my children have such amazing and unconditionally loving grandparents?! Thank you!

Planting in eggshells with Paka and Mimi!

Dress up.

A sweet, symbolic lesson about all the names that Christ is known by.

Cooking and Decorating (and a nice grandma who didn't mind Ella making cinnamon toast twice a day, using several sticks of butter, loaves of bread and lots of cinnamon sugar...)

Swimming

Bracelet Making!

Nickel and Scotty got to know eachother this trip.

A neighbor's doggy that everyone adores.

Eating on special trays!

A Tea Party, of course! One of the grandchildren's favorite traditions!

HDOS

Sometimes...I miss Hot Dog on a Stick the same amount as I do friends and family.

Spring 2011

We have been relaxing in the West the past (almost!) two weeks. I wanted to start our traveling picture journal out with these, because really, you can't get any more traditional or spring-ier than pictures of little girls on Easter Morning....

Love that view of Provo Lake in the distance! At Uncle Chris' and Aunt Jana's home in Pleasant Grove, Utah.

At Paka and Mimi's cottage before church.

...unless of course you've got little girls, holding little chicks in pictures (or in our case, a little turkey, who was a snugglier none the less!) Then, you've got the ultimate springiness going on!!

My grandpa said that the turkey and the turtle were snuggled up together the day before, taking a nap in the sun. :)

Great Grandma and Grandpa Fabbi's. Tuesday, April 26th. Las Vegas.

Cute. and CUTE!

The past 2 weeks have been the perfect balance of Spring, Family and Friends...and let's not forget food! Now, I'm just going to delete the parts where my children constantly smacked one another, refused to look at the camera, the flight delays and the tornadoes that are affecting so many people!

:( Delete!

Happy Spring! We were welcomed home with "goy-gous" (as Paisley would say) tulips popping all over the city and the aroma of....pizza! You should visit New York in Spring!!!

We're on our way to sunnier places...

I Wuv Dis Wittle Girl! (Who is 5 1/2 Years Old!)

Still growing those bangs out!

A little ride up to our apartment. (These carts make my life like heaven, compared to all of the carrying and climbing we did in our last apartments!)

This is how Paisley spelled "Crochet" in March.

For some reason (or another :) Paisley never really transitioned to whole milk at one year old. She had her own cow for much longer, but I decided that she needed a little fat boost a few weeks ago and got her this tiny little jug of milk to make drinking cow milk fun! Right when I showed it to her, all she could think about was getting tiny cereal boxes to go with it! So that's what we did. And now, she asks for milk sometimes! Yay.

Paisley has turned into such a funny little thang! She is always singing and making beats up with her mouth and then dancing to them! She's become quite sassy and is always saying things to herself.

Her most recent funnies...

Paisley whispers to herself as we're walking to school,"Ah, man, I forgot to do that." I say, "What did you forget?" "Ohhh, nothing." I say, "No really, what did you forget?" "Nothing, really, it's my secret." "Tell me! I wanna know!" "Okay well, I forgot to BUST OUT MY WINGS last night and fly."

She makes me laugh, love her little imagination. Which brings me to this one...

"Let's tape these coffee sticks to Polly Pockets feet and they can ski!!!" then she whispers to herself, " I wonder what giants are controlling me?!"

And then later that same day...

We were on the train and Paisley read a sign on the door that said..."Do Not Lean On Door". Then she says," That doesn't make sense. It needs to say 'do not lean on THE door'...!" and then under her breath says..."and there needs to be a period at the end." :)

Love, love, love her thoughts! She's just so quick.
