The Crowded October Re-Cap

Ah, it is so enjoyable to have Fall, living on the East Coast...all the activities upstate, the changing leaves, apple cider donuts, apple cider, apple anything! Here are a few spotlights of our October.

The Great Jack o Lantern Blaze

My pictures are pitiful. And both camera batteries died! But we had a great ending to a day vacation in the Hudson Valley, with the Graham's and Paka & Mimi.

The Girl's School hosted their annual Big Green Halloween. Never disappoints! I worked on this maze a little bit (not that awesome dragon part) and Scotty helped in the grill!

They climbed.

Ella got up to the top in seconds and then took way too long to come down. She was scared...

Decorated cupcakes.

Can you tell I love taking pictures of Paisley eating? She's got a big bite for such a little thang.

Ella finally won a cake! Thank heavens, we had to make a trip to the ATM to win that! ;) It all goes to the school!
Classroom Halloween Parties... Ella was a 70's Dancing Queen.

Paisley was Cleopatra.
Had to make my Boo-Berries!

Church Halloween Party....

Just to give you an idea of what our Halloween night consisted of...We live in a highrise building. It's 23 stories, 20 of them with apartments. I believe there are around 250+ apartments altogether. My girls were determined to tackle them all! So we started at 3, with some friends and we took the stairs, floor by floor, until we were at floor 22! We covered every floor! Granted, many of the apartments didn't have the "Trick or Treat" door sign, so we were done in a good hour! It was awesome! We have loved the other 3 years we have spent outside going brownstone to brownstone and store to restaurant, on Halloween, but I must say it was quite comfy walking door to door inside our nice warm building this year.

Before the trick or treating, our building hosted a children's Halloween Party! Magician, Pizza and all. Have I told you how much I heart our building? <3
We made it home fast, so that the girls could finish their evening by handing out candy to the rest of the trick or treaters. They LOVED that!
October is done. It was a very busy month school wise...I've taken a position over a committee in the PTA and it has kept me extremely busy while the girls are at school! It's mostly emailing, but extremely time consuming to say the least. I'm enjoying it!

Here's to a lovely November!

Autumn with Mimi and Paka

The end of September, Scott's parents came out for a nice long visit! It was wonderful to get to spend time together.
The girls LOVE to play games with Mimi.

Paisley can always get comfy on Leesy! :)

We took a day trip up to Sleepy Hollow...to get us all ready for October!

And then we went apple picking!
We're waiting in line to jump on a big flat bed that took us to the orchard.

The Grahams

Paisley, making sure the trees they picked from, had tasty apples. ;)

Apple Cider donut, rolled in sugar and dipped in chocolate! I think we bought 36 donuts that afternoon....

She's definitely our little drink trier. Lovin' the apple cider.

Thanks for helping get the mud off my boots, Paka!

Always snuggling. I could make an entire Shutterfly photo book of these two!
Then to end the very busy, family fun day, we went for pizza and headed to the Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze at Van Cortland Mansion, In Croton, NY. It's on the Hudson! Pictures to come!

Paisley, on da' streets! And Mario the Magician.

I'm laughing and shaking my head as I look at these. That little girl....good thing she got a strong, nice daddy! He's been the apple of this ones eye lately. Love seeing her request her daddy and give him sweet smiles.

These were taken in early September after a FREE Mario the Magician Magic show. Ella was called on stage to help perform a trick, which was pretty exciting. We thought it was sweet that Mario had a pet dove, that he's had for I believe 8 years, named Mozzarella! Cutest name ever for a dove. :) That reminds me of a nickname that Ella has been given at school occasionally, Mozzar-Ella Par-mesean! I will eat her up, it's so adorable! She doesn't think it's that great. :)

Here is Ella, during the disappearing girl on stage trick. ;) The lighting was terrible.
