Las Vegas in November. Part One.

So sleepy, hard to get up for an early flight!
Traveling is obviously exhausting.  Sleeping again, already!
 Rainbow Loom on the plane.
Joe-Joe and Vivi looking all cute.
I heart lunch dates with family when we are in town!
Annnd of course Vivi almost broke her hip on Thanksgiving morning.  Her shoe got stuck on the side of a plastic slide, causing her leg to be pulled back in a scary position.  Her first trip to the ER.  All was well after about 5 days...she finally started walking again.

 Game night with Family!

With Paka and Mimi in their hotel room.
 "Boots" with Gwama!

Fete Paridiso -Governor's Island- Sept.7, 2013

 Games on the Train.
Same Chipotle, different day.  In Grandma Sue's baby bonnet.
On our way to the Governor's Island Ferry.  For Fete Paridiso, a vintage French Carnival brought to Governors Island.

Vivi and I in a room of balloons.  Lots of squeals of excitement.

 Rough and Tumble.

Just two old pictures that I love.

Looking out her big bedroom window while playing in her crib.   We've lowered the mattress since, promise.

She loves reading and feeling the book that Auntie Jen sent her. :)  Called "I love to Sleep" In English, French and Spanish...she hasn't quite caught on...by practicing loving to sleep... but we're still hoping one of the  love languages catches on soon and we can get some shut-eye around here!

I'm going to sit down...

...one of these days and REALLY blog again.  This has turned into a picture dumping zone.  That, and I have no clever thoughts or ideas goin' on (ones that I can remember long enough to blog about) because of the help of my yummy, little baby that's been around for 15 months now!?

Here's a little glimpse of what some our days look like while Ella and Paisley are in school.

 Namaste.
We purposely pass by Teavana to try tea samples on our way to the library.

 Play and Read.

And then we come home for a nap and I take pictures of her peaceful, little self. (But really I clean and respond to PTA emails.)

Vivi is learning new words, songs, phrases, expressions and more...every minute it seems.  Enjoying this little girl.  We all are, so much.

Most recent-

I yell for Scott in another room, "Scott!  Scott!"  Vivi yelps out after, "Dada!  Dada!"

Vivi bends over with her head between her legs and says, "Up! Side!  Down!"

Scott asked Vivi to bring me a bottle of water and she actually did it!

She sings" Up above the world so high." And makes a diamond with her fingers.  (hums the tune of "Twinkle Twinkle")

She took off walking Sept.9th.

Shows empathy for someone in pain.  Comes and hugs them, pats their back, kisses them.  Especially towards Ella and Paisley.

Nods yes and no

Signs consistently- more, milk, please, thank you, bird, water, all-done, baby

If she is tired and whiny (we call her Vi-no when she's wine-y:) but won't lay down to take a nap I tell her, "Vivi you can go take a nap in your crib or you can play with your toys...what do you want to do?"  She has walked over to her toys and played quite a few times. ;)

Repeats almost anything you ask her to say or attempts to at least.  Our favorites- Happy Birthday, alright, I'm ONE!
