Capistrano Beach with the Fabbi Family 2011

All of these pictures were taken on the first day...and the last day!

My camera came up missing and could not be found anywhere....for 5 days...until I told Paisley as we were packing to leave..."If you can find my camera, I will give you $5.00." She came running to me with camera in hand about 20 seconds later.
I guess I'll offer a reward sooner next time!

My parents really made this family vacation special. From the food, to the supplies they brought for us, to the fun outings. It was a relaxing, beautiful week! One of my favorite parts was taking a bike ride with Scott one of the evenings we were there.

Recieving all of their beach needs when we arrived from Grandma! It was pretty nice to not have to bring a bunch of it in luggage!

The huge bathtub that I never got to soak in, however the little girls got good use out of it! 3 baths a day, I tell you! It had a beautiful ocean view! Every time they got a little too salty or sandy they were upstairs bathing! And then, 5 minutes later they, were out on the beach again!

Mom's day at the pool!

I can think of a few better pictures of us in the last 3 decades, but we got a mom's day out at the pool and it needs to be documented! We first met at the Cracked Egg and then made our way to the pool at Aliante. $10 for Vegas locals! I'm a native, so I think I deserved the deal! ;)

Love you girls so much.

Art Starts Here 2011

Remember last year, when Ella did an Art Camp with her Cousin Jensyn? Well Pais was in on the action this year, along with Kaitlyn, one of my BFF's daughter. I'm so glad they got to spend time together this summer! I'm still unpacking all the art...but here are a few sneak peeks!

The first half of the day was art camp and the second half was drama camp. Drama camp was a Pirate Theme. It was hilarious watching the children perform their dances and little skits! Your typical kids drama camp, so funny.

I'm pretty sure our group took up a good 3/4 of the room during the art show and performance. The Allreds were there (so glad you came!!), The Waites (Love you guys! Thanks for signing KK up!) The Grandmas! Auntie Jen! It was a fun gathering.

What Paisley says...

We stopped to eat in Connecticut, on our way to Boston. Chip's is where we decided to go eat, famous for their pancakes! It was a tough decision between that and Cracker Barrel. We stopped there too, to get a supply of Bob's Peppermint sticks! ;)

During brunch at Chip's, the lights went out in our dining area. They were probably out for a good minute. When they turned back on Paisley says,

"Oh, yea, it was probably a virus, right?!"

Kids these days!!

Fun Zone with the Allred Fam!

The Beautifuls.

Mona-Kay and her kiddos came down to Vegas from South Jordan. We did the usual...Macayos! Then the next day all these cuties got to go to the FUN ZONE in Rhodes Ranch, where my parents live. (We used to live there too!) Ella's been riding those slides since she was 3 years old. We had a lot of fun with Caleb, Sage and Gavin. Such good kids!

Mona, isn't it a pleasure to see them play together so well?
I think we just sat there and watched them interact the entire day.

Then, Jas brought out the snakes! Jason and Joe crack me up.

Until next time....when there's a brand new baby girl for all of those kids to fight over holding, in the next pictures!
Not me, Mona!! Hooray!

More Cousins in Vegas!!

Scotty's brother and his family moved to Las Vegas, from North Carolina! Getting to spend time with them this summer was an extra perk! Yay!
Things get crazy when these ones are together, if you can't tell by their smiles!
There is nothing like being with cousins.

Thanks for having us over a few times Bryan and Kalyn! The dinners were delish!

Ella and Nickel have a sweet relationship. I think they understand each other!

These two...T-R-O-U-B-L-E! Seriously. But, how cute are their ice cube thumbs up?!

Southern Utah 2011

Jason and Joe (my brothers) have been at Scout camps working all summer, so we took a trip up to Southern Utah to spend some time with them and get a little Shakespearean and Tuacahn in there as well! It was a really fun day. And sadly, it will most likely be the last time that all four of us siblings will be all together for at least two years!!! You know why?! Cause Joe is going on a Mission for our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
We are very excited for him.
Not the best picture...the sun was shining.

While the campers did their weekly laundry, we took a trip to Cal's Ranch for some, chick, duck and turkey play! And, I must say it is a miracle that we didn't go home with one of each for the little girls, and grandma!

We met back up at the bowling alley in Cedar. Do you know how long I've wanted to go there? I wasn't even sure if it was even still open.
Give me a high ten!

Ella ended up with a score of 92, the highest girl score, right behind Papa Kent and Jason! (Bumpers up!) We were pretty sure it was b/c of her 1 lucky bowling shoe, that was tied like a ballet toe shoe. ;)The scene
Sharing nuts with Jason's friend, Miranda and Papa. Pais brought her pistachios, Miranda brought her cashews. :)

We then drove to St. George for Tuacahn's showing of GREASE! (Little Mermaid is showing too! We're going Wednesday! :)

"Woo-hoo-hoo, honey!"
It was a long, jam-packed day!
And the girls were still happy at midnight, when we finally got to our hotel!

Faith.

Found some window markers at Target and though I don't love the lovely residue that is left on the windows AFTER I clean them, I did LOVE finding this little phrase that Paisley left for the world on Broadway to see.

Faith is like a little seed.

And here is the song that she is referring to, including some cute lil hand motions. :)
Love when they come home singing the primary songs that I haven't taught them.
It's like a sweet, little present.

Faith is knowing the sun will rise, (arms form a half-circle over head)
Lighting each new day. (arms slowly drop to shoulder level)
Faith is knowing the Lord will hear (cup hands behind ears)
My prayers each time I pray. (place hands together as in prayer)
Faith is like a little seed: (cup left hand and pretend to plant a seed in it with right hand)
If planted, it will grow. (right hand imitates a plant growing from the cupped left hand)
Faith is a swelling within my heart. (place hands over heart)
When I do right, (point right index finger upward)
I know. (touch right index finger to head)

SoOoOoO....I've been blogging from Las Vegas. We've been in Utah, California (with Scotty) and will be in Vegas til the beginning of August. (without Scotty) :( I'm very far behind on blogging. So I've decided to start backwards from here.... with the most recent, because that is what usually gets me all caught up!

Paisley Graduates from Kindergarten!!

Pais got all the love at her Kindergarten Graduation! (June 22, 2011) Ella got to ditch class and Elise, Gary and Daddy were able to come!! She was edible as usual, performing her songs and dances!
Here is one of the songs they sang!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhkwXk9CCUo&feature=youtube_gdata_player

After the ceremony, the class met in their classroom for a picture slide show and each child read a poem that they wrote themselves! Adorable!!

Congratulations Paisley Anne. We're so proud you baby girl!

After the graduation, Scotty and I took our oldest niece, Elise, to lunch at 5 guys for her graduation gift! :) She is starting high school this year, its crazy. She was in Kindergarten when Scotty and I met! I remember watching her ABC- 123 performance on the internet, at the same elementary school the girls go to now! Love it!

Having visitors means....

...crossing off a few more things off our "NYC to do list"! Thank you!
(The list is never-ending.)

My cousins Kristin and Rachel came to celebrate Rachel's High School Graduation!
It had been awhile since we got to do some touring around, so it was great fun! Especially the day that it was 100 degrees and we all hopped in the car and did a driving tour, jumping out of the car to take a few pictures and climbing back into the air conditioning! :) We may have to do that again, when YOU come to visit.

The Donut Plant was on my mind. Our tummy's all got some love that day. Ella has a humongous cinnamon roll, which she shared with Paisley. Pais got some homemade strawberry lemonade, and somehow I ended up with coconut, mango and dulce de leche donuts! SO delectable! Scotty had a yummy after-work treat that night.

Ugh! Are they sitting by each other again?! They did pretty good sharing the chair, that's one small shop!

Ella found a fellow American Girl Doll Liker! Our girlies liked spending time with two girls that were sisters too!

More pictures to come!

Family Fun Day at the end of May.

Family Fun Days are the best. On this particular one, we went to Olive Garden...that's how I get these three little homebodies out of our apartment on a Saturday!

Then we went to the United Nations. Another check off our list! We all loved it. And the gift shop!

And then, the best part of the day was going to visit NYU Langone Medical Center, where Scotty works! The girls and I hadn't really been there. I must say that it seems like a wonderful place to work and visit! There is a playground on site for pediatric patients and their families to enjoy, that's open to the public as well. It's simply amazing. It is all wheelchair accessible and happy and beautiful! Just a little slice of heaven in the city. Also, connected to the playground is an aviary type place (although some birds are in cages), with all kinds of different birds, plants and a Koi pond. We walked through and visited it all.

I was so happy to see these in the bathroom. I'm always using my paper towels to open the bathroom doors when out in public and a lot of the time there are only hand air dryers (which I've heard create even more germs!) so NYU gets hospital of the year from me. :)

We got to go up and see an anesthesia machine and hang out in the office/break room.

A dove and it's eggs.
She's not the only one who enjoyed that hammock!

I think big, fluffy bunnies can make anyone smile!
