We're So Blessed!

So, this was our first Thanksgiving away from the Fabbi Family and Las Vegas...which also means that it is the first year that my mom didn't make EVERYTHING for me to just show up and enjoy! I have been a VERY spoiled child. ;) We missed you guys and love you! It was a lot of fun though to figure out cooking times and preparation to get all of our food done at once and head over to Scott's sister's apartment without the food getting cold! Thanks to Bryan and Kalyn and their van, everything ran smoothly and we had a delicious Turkey Day-- full of food, family, thankfulness games, a movie outting, animal balloons and of course, Rock Band. Wednesday night we also walked through Central Park and saw several balloons being filled for the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade! What a site! There were way too many people there!
Scott's parents flew up last weekend and his brother and family drove from North Carolina to have a Thanksgiving with family, New York style. We are so blessed to have the family members that we have! We just love you guys so much, thank you for coming all the way out here...cousin, grandparents, aunt/uncle and sibling time is so important to us, we know what a sacrifice it was to travel with our crazy economy right now! Hugs and Kisses.

Looks like you had a great thanksgiving.....Spending time away from ALL your family during the holidays makes you just appreciate them more when you are together....that's my theory anyway :) I cannot wait to spend thanksgiving with your family again...maybe in another couple more years :)

Julianne, I'm so glad to see how well you guys are all doing in New York! I was actually just thinking of you guys the other day hoping things were going well - and now tonight I happened to stumble upon your blog - don't ask how I found it, I'm really not sure. :)
It looks like you're having a great time in NYC. What a wonderful experience for all of you. I hope school is going well for Scott.
We just enjoyed our first Thanksgiving away from all of our family. It was different, but wonderful. I bet you had fun hosting the holiday for some family, though.
Sorry this comment is so long. I'm just so glad to see that you're all doing so well. You're welcome to check out our blog (cotterell.blogspot.com) if you're interested. And I hope you don't mind my checking yours out every once-in-a-while.

Julianne--sorry to intrude on your site! I have tried for a week to sign on to Mona's and nothing is being accepted.
I just want to wish her well on her new adventure and let her know--I am working on her request for a journal about her Mama.
Love your live in NY--It is a magical city.
