This past weekend was what I like to call one of our busiest NYC weekends yet. It was full of surprises and lots of fun.
It started out with Elise coming over for a sleepover and telling us that Paka and Mimi were on their way to visit for the weekend! HOORAY! We were too excited and are still on a cloud from the good times we had.
Next we found out that the huge street fair that the the girls school puts on every year and that I was involved in planning, was switched from Saturday, to Sunday, because of rain. The same day as the Primary Program. I then realized it was time to start prioritizing and slashing out all of the commitments I had made, that could be neglected! We wanted to spend as much time as we could withour family!

Saturday we got up early, ran by the Grahams to hug Paka and Mimi and then headed to the primary program practice and dropped the girls off. Scott and I then met up with the rest of the family at The Corner Bakery on Broadway and 84th for a delicious Brunch! My first Brunch in NYC...Chocolate Banana Waffles with whipped cream and strawberries and Eggs Benedict. We then headed back down to the chapel in the rain with Paka and Mimi to get the girls dressed in their Halloween costumes for the ward primary activity. We were very lucky to get to see our dear friends the Jennejohn's who were in town this weekend from Delaware. It was the sweetest thing to watch Ella and Madeline embrace, for what seemed like 1 or 2 minutes! Precious. I'll have to get pictures from Paka from the church activity!
After I spent the afternoon helping set up for the street fair and after Paka and Mimi got a much needed nap from taking the Red Eye out here, we had Pizza and Salad at our place.
