What we've been up to...

This is taken inside Hot n Crusty on 88th, through the window. Our building is directly in back of the building on the right. We found it was the perfect window for viewing the clouds as they float by, because we know exactly what cloud each of us is is talking about when we say, "That one looks like a ..."

Scott just started his next rotation at Jacobi Medical center in the Bronx...in Labor and Delivery! :) And you better believe that we LOVE listening to the birth stories at night when he comes home exhausted. It's nice to hear mostly positive scenarios, where while he was in the O.R., it was the complete opposite situation. My favorite story that he's told me about the O.R., has to be when he came home blushing saying that he got to anesthetize a 5 day old baby girl who's intestines where outside of her body...or something, so sad. He was like, "That little stinker was only five days old and she was all pulling on her feeding tubes, looking around with her big eyes, she was so0o0o little and cute!" I'll just stick to the "cute" stories and try to forget about the others. Scott is learning how to do epidurals and got to help with a c-section yesterday. He said that by the time they get in there to do the epidurals that moms are screaming and don't care what they have to sign, as long as SOMEONE, ANYONE is taking away the pain...hahaha. They are safe with Scotty's super fine motor skills. Love you babe, you're gonna make it.

I am keeping busy with the PTA. I'm tellin' ya, schools are just unbelievable here.
We watched "Nursery University" from NETFLIX the other night, and it was no exaggeration. I don't think they made it sound as crazy as it really is. It's about Manhattan families trying to get their 2 year old children into the "best/most expensive" pre-schools. Seriously a hoot.
Being involved int he girls activities gives me a chance to get to to know their teachers more than I would have.
This little beauty is on the bulletin board outside of Ella's Classroom.
Self Portrait.

Ella is responding very well to Kindergarten and her teacher.
What a relief!
Last week she was having a meltdown after school and
I was just not having the patience I needed to have...she said,
"You need to go to teacher school."
By the way...I DID go to "teacher school"...for seven years, which focused on ages 0-8 and had an
emphasis on children with special needs. Yea, it obviously hasn't helped me in the parenting area one stinkin' bit.
Check out this puzzle website.
The lady that creates them was at an event.
. She took Ella by the hand, sat her down and had her doing this all by herself after giving her instructions. The woman said, "She's so methodological, it was her own idea to make a line to the words after writing them in the boxes." Yet, more proof as to how different Ella and I am in the brains department...lucky for her.
Paisley posed and then wanted to take the same picture of me. This is taken outside of a project building that has a playground that we like to go to on 89th.
(The bulletin board outside of Paisley's classroom )
Paisley is her teacher's little snuggle bug. Peso keeps our attention by speedily talking, non-stop sentences. She's good at keeping up with how fast her little wheels are turning inside. I really need to post our conversations. They are quite in-depth.
