When I was pregnant, I CRAVED creme brulee. Like all the time. I remember crying if I didn't eat exactly what I felt like at the exact moment...wait, I'm still kinda like that.
We tried several places out, but none were as good as my appetite wanted...(the kind that my sister and I got from a yummy little cafe once, or in San Fransisco is what I was longing for.)
I was so excited when the VONS store brand sold it frozen, in ceramic ramekins. We would stock up on them when they were on sale, they were so yummy. Except then my mother-in-law and I had like 30, or more ramekins that we didn't know what to do with. Janice do you still have those? We kept saying that we would make our own creme brulee and use them, but making it from scratch was always a little overwhelming for me, with the stage that my children were in... Anyway, at our local store up the street, I found packages to make your own, in the Kosher aisle and had to try it! They even have chocolate flavored...so good! So not good for you, but the berries make it a little better. Now I make it at least twice a month, but I only have this one oven safe ramekin, to broil the sugar...so Scott and I have to finish the entire package in one serving...darn.
Do any of you know any wonderful places in Vegas or NYC to get this yumminess?
