Christmas Week 2011.

Here is a re-cap of some holiday outings, Christmas Day and New Years Day...as taken straight from an email I sent my lil Bro Joe, who is serving an LDS mission in Colorado Springs, CO. It's nice to have someone to write to and receive letters from. :)

We had a really great Christmas and New Year. We did a bunch of sights in one day (a few days before Christmas), which is totally do-able with how old the girls are now. Paisley got to go to an exclusive concert for her friend's birthday party...Elizabeth Mitchell is a popular children's folk artist...she's best friends with Lisa Loeb. :) Then, we went to an Opera at the MET about the Three Kings "Amhal And The Night Visitors", then went to Macy's to write a letter to Santa, Bryant Park for the Carousel, Rockefeller Center for the Tree, American Girl doll store to get Jensyn a NY doll t-shirt...it was a nice family day.

The pictures for all of these occasions are terrible! I was still feeling quite ill from morning sickness, so on this particular day, I had forgot my phone and my camera! Thankfully Scott had the ipad on him to capture a couple. This was also the day that I fell, getting off from the back of the bus...into the middle of the street, in front of a cab! Was super scared that the cab wasn't gonna see me and hit me! I'm trying to wear heels less often now-a-days after another fall in the train station a few weeks ago! LOL.

Bryant Park

A nice man squeezed right between the girls, to watch the ice skating. :) It was cute.

Rockefeller Tree. And this is what happens when mommy goes to Anthropologie and leaves Daddy to take pictures of the girls and Rockefeller Tree...we both learned a lesson! ;)

On Christmas Eve, a large portion of our ward, met at an Episcopal Church on the East side, where they have a live nativity, inside the church! Imagine animals walking down the humongous isles...it was an all children's nativity...100 children. The little baby lambs had diapers on and bleated the entire time. :) It was jam packed...and then right as it started an usher came up to us and said they had room for all of us on the first row, so we were upgraded! It was very, very cool. Then we went ice-skating in Central Park and ended the night with Greek food at home, cause all I crave is cucumber yogurt dip and pita! Christmas was relaxing and nice, it was nice to actually go to church on Christmas. New Year's Eve, we stayed home all day, then got hot dogs at Gray's Papaya and took the girls to a late showing of Hugo, a movie that came out. You'll have to put that on your list to watch. :) We also went to this old school puppet show at the Swedish Cottage in Central Park. Next year we want to celebrate Three Kings Day, a little more. It was SO wonderful to go out and spend time together on Scott's days off....and for the girls to have 10 days off to just play together in our apartment and relax!
