Paisley with her binoculars on her last day of Butterfly Class.  She's an official Lepidopterist now! (A person who specializes in moths and the three different kinds of butterfly families! :)  She dressed for the occasion.  This particular week, we were to draw a wildlife friendly habitat.  She drew her Great Grandma and Grandpa Fabbi's yard because we had just learned that their backyard is Wildlife certified!

If you can imagine, the last two months have been increasingly difficult for me to get out and about.  I'm doing okay with the usual home and school routines, but as far as the adventures and outings that I usually love to plan and do, they just aren't happening as much! (much to the excitement of some people in our family! ;) However, we did miss The Space Shuttle flying over the Hudson and GW Bridge, Fleet Week and we even missed The Transit of Venus as it danced across the Sun!  (All were talked about and seen on Daddy's ipad, but I've got some major guilt going on.  108 years until the next Transit of Venus?  Ugh.

Hopefully what we have been up to is as equally educational and memory filled!  Paisley was part of a 6 week parent/child course at the Museum of Natural History.  The first 3 weeks were about Butterflies and the Butterfly Conservatory there.  The 2nd 3 weeks was about Space!  Here are a few pics from a couple of the weeks!

On this particular day.  I had walked with Paisley's class on a field trip to the museum...spent 4 hours walking, 35 weeks pregnant!  Up and down stairs repeatedly....walk to Central Park...I was exhausted.  Then, I came home for an hour, picked her up from school and then head right back to the Museum for our class.

Here she is in the Children's Exploration Room, before.

Paisley and her Field Trip Badge she made and wears on all the trips.

Moon Walking!

Experiencing what it would be like to have to fix a spaceship with the big astronaut suit gloves on! (She's putting together a Lego car, with big gloves, all in water!)They also tried space food!

Ella was able to enjoy this same program last year through a grant for our school and we were lucky enough to be part of this again for Paisley.
