Just hangin' out!!

We're just here...Grandma's in town and we're waiting for our baby! I'm three days past my due date and not feeling too anxious! I know what lies ahead in my future!! :) We're having fun though doing all kinds of things to pass the time! Eggplant Parmesan is supposed to start labor. It got things started with Paisley, so we tried it again! No luck yet...

Lil' Trip to the AG Store!

Fancy sitting at 16 Handles Frozen Yogurt Bar.

Paisley's Poetry Slam!  She read her poem about Lemons!

 Black and White Cookies!

And our FAVORITE Annual Dance Festival!  This year's theme: Soul Train!

Videos Below...gotta watch Paisley's class.  Adorable!  We had been keeping the song a secret from Grandma Sue because it's one of her favorites! Watch it!  Pais is wearing the blue headband.

Our weekend.

Our weekend started with Uncle Bry-Bry coming to visit on his way to a conference! (Scott's older brother Bryan) So fun to have a relative in town, especially an uncle! We ate Indian food along with Kaye and Elise and just hung out!

Then, Paisley had her very first Ballet recital!  She danced with The Ballet Hispanico Company this year. :)

I love doing little girl hair, but I am no bun maker!  I'm pretty much the WORST bun maker ever.  Thank goodness for Rebecca who threw one up just in time for us!

I caught these three before the show.  It was at Columbia- Miller Theatre.

And....if you're wondering why I have no pictures of my daughter in her costume....it's because we were required to drop them off and pick them up before and after.  I don't know what the 30$ costume fee was for....cause we didn't get to bring it home! :(

Anyways!  It didn't matter because once they took the floor, we were captivated with their cuteness!  And poise. And crispness.  And little ballerina's are stinkin' cute, especially ones that take the art so seriously!

These pictures were taken super far away, so they are blurry.  But it still shows off her little stances!

Okay long legs!!!

And, we were all quite surprised when there was one award given...for attendance.
And Paisley got it! How fun is that?  We are so proud of you Paisley Anne!  Keep dancing!

Mother's Blessing.

A wonderful friend of mine, Rebecca, planned a lovely Spa Day Shower for me.  It was like a Mother's Blessing Ritual!  We were asked to come in comfy clothes, bring a robe, make-up free and we all enjoyed some much needed relaxation and spa treatments!  That is my kind of shower! :)  The details and decor and theme, were just so perfect.  From the sweet cards they wrote, to the delicious brunch foods they made and brought, to their fun company, to their sweet, adorable gifts; I definitely felt the love from all of these ladies.   <3  One of my favorite, favorite memories from my life in NYC.  Thank you.

Yummy homemade lavender bath salt gifts for everyone!

A delicious Facial Mask.
(read the ingredients!)

Monica came ready with her essential oils and gave us tips on massage...she demonstrated on me! Ahhhhh!

Baby Brunch.

A group of friends had a nice Baby Celebration for 2 other mama's and myself, after we all dropped our children off to school one morning! It was a rainy day and it was so nice to sit, talk and eat together. One friend is expecting her 3rd girl, like us! And the other friend is due with twins in August! Thanks for helping us welcome our soon to be baby girl!  It is SO nice to have a group of friends that we can celebrate life's joys with....even if it's our 3rd baby, or just a random birthday or a play that one of the directed or the graduation of a PHD!!  It's nice to have a reason to spend time together!  Thank you!!

Paisley with her binoculars on her last day of Butterfly Class.  She's an official Lepidopterist now! (A person who specializes in moths and the three different kinds of butterfly families! :)  She dressed for the occasion.  This particular week, we were to draw a wildlife friendly habitat.  She drew her Great Grandma and Grandpa Fabbi's yard because we had just learned that their backyard is Wildlife certified!

If you can imagine, the last two months have been increasingly difficult for me to get out and about.  I'm doing okay with the usual home and school routines, but as far as the adventures and outings that I usually love to plan and do, they just aren't happening as much! (much to the excitement of some people in our family! ;) However, we did miss The Space Shuttle flying over the Hudson and GW Bridge, Fleet Week and we even missed The Transit of Venus as it danced across the Sun!  (All were talked about and seen on Daddy's ipad, but I've got some major guilt going on.  108 years until the next Transit of Venus?  Ugh.

Hopefully what we have been up to is as equally educational and memory filled!  Paisley was part of a 6 week parent/child course at the Museum of Natural History.  The first 3 weeks were about Butterflies and the Butterfly Conservatory there.  The 2nd 3 weeks was about Space!  Here are a few pics from a couple of the weeks!

On this particular day.  I had walked with Paisley's class on a field trip to the museum...spent 4 hours walking, 35 weeks pregnant!  Up and down stairs repeatedly....walk to Central Park...I was exhausted.  Then, I came home for an hour, picked her up from school and then head right back to the Museum for our class.

Here she is in the Children's Exploration Room, before.

Paisley and her Field Trip Badge she made and wears on all the trips.

Moon Walking!

Experiencing what it would be like to have to fix a spaceship with the big astronaut suit gloves on! (She's putting together a Lego car, with big gloves, all in water!)They also tried space food!

Ella was able to enjoy this same program last year through a grant for our school and we were lucky enough to be part of this again for Paisley.

Long Island Wedding.

Scott and I got to take a nice little day trip to Long Island for one of his co-workers wedding.  I wasn't super looking forward to go, just being so far along in this pregnancy, but we had a really great time.  It was placed on a huge piece of land that housed the Bourne Mansion.  It was breathtaking, beautiful couple, families!  Watching others take their vows is a beautiful reminder of our own wedding day and the love and devotion we have for each other!  It was nice to be a part of.
