With her best "Southern Baptist" accent...
"When I die, Jesus is gonna come down here and turn me into an Angel, and carry me to Heaven." Mariella
She is all about religious discussions.
One day last week, as I was picking up Ella from school, her sweet friend said out loud, "and Ella and I are going to be in the same primary soon!" They seemed so excited that they would be in the same ward, it was precious.
Ella came home and told me that her teacher told her that she could only sing songs about Jesus at home! She and Madeline had been singing them together in class! (Isn't that what you were taught as a child?..."just hum your favorite hymn."
I asked her what song they were singing and it sounded like one that they have been learning this month from The Friend. It is my new favorite song...and Ella's too. I have to secretly leave the primary when they are singing it, b/c I would lose control crying every Sunday if I didn't! :) You know me. The tune and rhythm is so fun. Here is the song...are your kids learning this in primary also? I don't know how to condense this the right way so it's not a huge address...sorry...

Doesn't it just melt your heart when your children so innocence and pure say the most simple but profound things. If we could just be a litle more like them. Hopefully the move goes smoothly this week. Love Ya!
Brooklyn sings this little song NON-STOP! And I'm right there with you on crying when I hear the primary (especially junior) singing! Like little angels.
Hey Julianne! I just found your blog! How are things going in NY? I LOVE this primary song too. Cora is a Sunbeam this year and we've been listening to the primary cd with all the songs for the program but she'll only listen to this song. She knows every word and sings it all day long. She was so loud this past Sunday. It was adorable and totally makes me want to cry too. I love it!
I think I the first time I heard ryan singing in primary I got a little teary eyes myself. GOod luck with the move, its always sad to leave a place that feels like home, but a "brownstone" sounds so cool. You always hear about Hollywood couple who is going through the nasty divorce... "while he keeps the Long island estate, she gets the "brownstone".
