The Dance Class that Didn't Last.

I just got our phat reimbursement check from Ballet Hispanico. (That will be paying for 1/3 of our rent this month.) Mariella and Paisley took a ballet class this past Fall semester. It was a beautiful program. A block away from our apartment, they were in separate classes (which was great), it was very traditional (not this fru-fru stuff) and best of all there were live pianists in every studio. The only issue that the girls couldn't get used to was the time...getting dressed...hair up in tight buns (that would make three hairdos in one day!) and walking there. They simply (or brutally) requested that they would rather stay home after a long day at school and play. (or watch tv instead) I can't blame them. They DO really want to take a gymnastics class. We'll have to wait til the doe starts coming in October or November...here are some pictures from Ballet Hispanico that were taken on the one parent observance night, it was actually on my birthday! A fun birthday treat for me, to see my girls with smiles on their faces with no cares in the world. They always had the best time once they actually go there. And they were good at it too, darn it. PS: I miss you BH. I want to take a tap class there...

Our Favorite stretch phrase. Let us teach it to you. In a British accent:
"No! No! Naughty Toes!! (flex toes up) Barbie Feet (point toes down)...clapclapclapclapclapclapclap!" (with your hands, clapping up close to your face)

I am sure they will want to pick it up again someday. They look so cute in their outfits though.
