Mid-Winter Break 2010

There was one rule this past week...Don't wake mommy up. We didn't leave the house until after 2pm, every single day. I forgot how disastrous our apartment gets when there are two children home all day, but it was a fabulous week, where I snuggled my children up as often as I could.

Monday- Drive out to new Jersey with the girls to the Gateway Plaza Mall.
Two story carousal.

Tuesday- Snowman/Snowball fight. "That's the Cutest Little Snowman Ever" is what Kaye said about our snowman the next day as they passed by on a bus, without even knowing he was ours! I didn't want to leave him, I felt like we had created someone! Ella rolled that middle ball from a golf sized piece of snow, to that. She learned from Max and Ruby.

Wednesday- Paisley's friend Nive came over with her mama and little sister to play. Elise spent the night and Ella stayed up way too late...it was cute to hear she and Elise giggling though as Elise introduced her to Pig Latin.

Thursday- Ice skating at Lasker Rink and adventures in Central Park. Remind me to post a video. Note to self: Sleepy Ella and Ice Skating don't mix..until she gets french fries and is put in charge of Paisley's safety on the rink.

Friday- recuperate.

Saturday-Pizza with the Grahams! I seriously need practice on my pizza dough making skills though.

And, we babysat Ella's class pet, whom I think I almost killed, Ranger Zachary all week. He is a sweet little, cute little, happy little frog. And a JUMPY one at that.

I'm working backwards still...First Children, then Pet, then Plant. I'll let you know if RZ survives...there may be a plant in my future this Spring.

You have it figured out, chicka! Whenever we have a break together as a family, it takes me a couple days just to get over my shell shock about all the things I have neglected trying to get through our busy, daily lives!

I came to your blog today because I thought I saw a picture earlier of a shirt I got Ella for her bday, but it's different...yay!
