And Sledding too!
Sledding outside in front of the cottage was too much fun...anything that makes me feel like a kid again is fun now-a-days. Plus, the girls had more fun giggling and pulling their sleds back up the street than actually sliding down...double SCORE for us. There was THAT much happiness involved! Thank you for taking pictures Mimi!
Artsy Kids.
We drove up to Utah to visit the Frary's, Allred's and the Cottage! Erin brought out her clay spinning wheel and she, Jordan and Ella started spinning and creating away! After their pots had dried over night, they spent New Year's Eve painting their pots. I'm so sad I didn't get a picture of the finished products. It was the perfect craft Erin, thank you. Ella and Paisley love time spent with you two big kids.
Jordan is amazing! He told me that he could make domino's out of anything. He brought out some change and I admit that I doubted it...he proved me wrong...look at those nickles all lined up perfectly! All of kids took turns pushing the spinning the button for the pottery wheel...Ella used her hands...Jordi got smart and rested his tired head on it! I love this boy! His mind just amazes me, the stuff he creates and comes up with!
I've just got New Year's and Temple Square left to post about of our 3 week long vacation! :)

Christmas Day Collage...
Here's the first batch of pictures from Christmas Day...So FUN this year. The whole season was just so exciting, I felt like a little girl again watching Ella and Paisley. We all scored...Ella and Paisley got their much anticipated scooters and they ride them everywhere! Even in the ice and slush and snow. Thank you Mom and Dad...I mean SANTA, it was the fix to my "double stroller dilemma"... these scooters are like 3 lbs a piece! Very easy going up and down the apartment and subway stairs. Then we can even collapse them! I carried Ella's around town in my PURSE while she was at school!
There are a few pictures from the day after Christmas...including when we went to Karisa's yummy smelling house...we decided to choose her to perform our ONLY Christmas Caroling of the Season...she interrupted us during the second song and told us to come in b/c it was too cold!!! LOL. It was so Karisa. I love you by the way, Karisa.

Princess Anne
I like to call Paisley "Princess Anne" b/c Anne is her middle name...it changes from that to Stinkin' Anne or Baby Anne or beautiful Anne depending on our moods.
Today my independent 3 year old told me she was going to get dressed, went in her bedroom, put on an ALL matching outfit (later to find out matching underwear and socks as well, put on shoes and a matching headband, by herself. I am ALL about self sufficency. Hooray! I Love you my little Mommy Anne!

I like to MOVE IT, MOVE IT.
Nohing Like Christmas Eve With The Fabbi Family
So I love Family Traditions. I can remember as a child going to MY great-grandparents house for a very traditional Christmas Eve Dinner and Grandma Potter's popcorn balls...visit from Santa every year... Mcdonald's gift certificates for all the kids. It was the best, I can only imagine that my children feel the exact same at their Great-Grandparent's house!
One of my favorites that we do now is Christmas Eve at Papa Don's and Grandma Barbara's. We eat pizza, sing carols, open gifts and have pie for dessert. We really missed everyone that couldn't make it! Melissa made really good homemade bread, my dad passed out everyone's jerky and the kids were nuts as always.
Classic Grandma Thelma. She's going to be 90 this year! She, Joe and Caden were looking at a digital picture frame my mom had given my grandparents.
Ella and Jensyn's Christmas Duet, in matching jammies. Thanks for the Christmas jammies Grandma Sue...and for Santa Mouse. Paisley has been carrying him around town the past couple of days.
Baby Mason and his Mama Lacey. That little cutie, I'm fallin' for the babies again....I thought I would never want another of my own again...I was wrong. Every chance I get, I want to hold a baby.
Paisley with the look of satisfaction on her face! "It's just what I wanted." she said after opening her sweet ballerina. My grandparents are the bomb Christmas gift finder's. I love Joe in the background holding her "Santa Baby" puppy.
Paisley thinkin' she's a thug with her signs.

Love being with family!
We had a great evening out with my family! First, we got the girls (Ella, Pais and Our sweet little niece Jensyn) ALL dolled up, then we took them to get their pictures taken like we do every year around this time. Caden was there too! It's gotten MUCH easier than in years past...they were lovin' the camera.
Then Mom, Dad and Joe met us and we all ate at Red Robin. Thanks for that awesome night, it was so nice to be together. It was so much fun and like getting pictures taken, it's much easier to eat out all together without crazy toddlers!! Then Grandma and Grandpa, Joe and Scotty took the girls to Builld-a -Bear while Jen and I picked out the pictures...they turned out pretty darn cute. I will scan them and post them soon...maybe.
Paisley showing her sniffing obsession...my mom got her a cherry sniffable pencil, which she loves.
Scott trying to get a swig of Paisley's rootbeer.
Pre-photoshoot while waiting to get the real pix taken of the three beauties and Cade.
Arriving and getting in that Christmas Spirit kind of mood...
Getting way excited to soon land in the snowy Las Vegas Valley on December 18th.
Part of Paisley's Version of Deck the Halls...with the cutest rhythm and voice you've ever heard..."Look at the balls in Christmas holly. Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la" Oh my goodness, this cutie was scootering down Broadway today after she put on a sample of "Ursela Red" lipstick from Sephora singing, "Poor infortunate souls, in pain, in need!"
While decorating the Christmas Tree at Paka and Mimi's, Paisley comes in and says, "Daddy, what small little fing could I put on the tree?"
Scott-"I know a small little fing we could put on the tree!"
Uncle Allen Fabbi
My mom called tonight with some sad new. My Grandpa Fabbi's youngest brother passed away unexpectedly today. He must have only been in his late 50's. We are thinking of him and his family member's tonight.
I didn't know Allen that well, but two memories that I do have are funny and I have to share them so I don't ever forget them...besides I have to give him some credit for the reason I am here. :)
It must have been the early spring of '81 that my parents left their young kids for the weekend and traveled to San Diego for My Uncle Allen's and Teri's wedding. Now, I know it is difficult for some people to imagine this, but at a very young age, my parents had to give me the following information...that I was conceived in San Diego that weekend. I remember being tortured as a child, by my siblings... They would tell me that I was adopted b/c I was the ONLY blue-eyed and blond haired child on like both sides of the family or something! Anyways, my parents had to give me some kind of story to put my young mind at ease, by telling me that I was conceived in San Diego the weekend of Uncle Allen's wedding and that I was a California girl...being the reason that I had light eyes and hair. I'm so glad that I'm here!
In March of 2005, we all (Scott, baby Ella, Scott's Parents) headed up north to Richard's home town, Salmon, Idaho for his brother's 50th wedding anniversary. Coincidentally my uncle Allen lived in the same tiny town, so we got his number, and talked to his wife, who informed us that he was working on a house that he was renovating. Richard new exactly where the street was, an in a matter of like 4 minutes we were down there (keep in mind, I hadn't ever remembered meeting him before) so we are driving down the street looking for the house and before I even had the chance to look at the house numbers I knew exactly what house it was b/c there was a man's backside (the same FABBI "plumber crack" that almost every man on the Fabbi side has) kneeling down planting flowers. "There He is!" I shouted before I even saw his face! He had renovated and remodeled this darling house that I remember telling Scott I was willing to move to Salmon, Idaho for! He was so nice to talk/visit with us for just the few minutes that we did and give us a tour of the amazing house that he had worked on. We even got this picture...

I remember this time too vividly, b/c just a few days after we got back from Idaho, we found out we were expecting Paisley! That is our family joke, both times that we've gone to Idaho and Montana, I've come back pregnant! Must be in the water there...and in San Diego's too.
It's comforting to know that I have these memories. They are helping me stay positive tonight! That and my sweet little family that I'm so grateful for...goodnight.

Here's to another 6 blissful years of marriage...
We had to go...
...you know...to see Santa on 34th street, in New York City, the day we were leaving to Vegas?! Amy had told me just the night before about taking her daughter and we had time for a small activity before we headed to the Airport, so this was it. I was very pleased...they've got that process down to an art over there at Macy's...there had to of been at least 20 Santas' in different rooms (the children had no clue thanks to the talented elves...amazing and such a short wait!)
We are in Las Vegas and having such a wonderful holiday/vacation with family and friends. We finally arrived after a canceled flight because of Snow...in Las Vegas! Thankfully we ran to get on a flight to Salt Lake, spent the night for 4 hours at the Allred's (thank you again!) and jumped back on a plane the next morn headed to Vegas! We didn't have our luggage for a day either...oh the joys!
Have a safe New Year Holiday! Love to you all.

Spicin' things up....
So the only time of year that Scott starts requesting things from me is only in a Fall semester, right before finals. He apparently hadn't had enough "spice" in his life so far this holiday season...ya know, pumpkin pie? Gingerbread? (What kind of SPICE were you thinking of?! lol) So I got all of the ingredients for those treats, plus a WHOOPIE PIE (pumpkin cookies with marshmallow fluff in the middle) for his instant gratification. I love you and your low needs Scotty Don!
I was quite excited about the gingerbread cookies...I knew they were a cookie, that I wouldn't' be able to just eat all of...I have to be in the mood for them....but I made them just how I like them...soft with A LOT of frosting
We used the cookie cutters we had....but "somehow" as I took the last batch out of the oven...a little boy appeared and "jumped" off the tray for Ella and Paisley's amusement!

Week Away...
We've been cleaning out the fridge, eating all the leftovers in anticipation for our holiday vacation, to Las Vegas!! I am especially giddy this year for Christmas-- probably because of our girls FUN ages, the SPIRIT of New York City during the holidays and we even get to spend Christmas with our families...I have everything I want for Christmas right there!
Elf On The Shelf...Thanks for this CUTE gift, Grandma Sue! The girls are having a ball playing this game, reading the book and practicing being NICE, not NAUGHTY. They named the Elf "Sabrina". It is so cute to watch the girls wake up (individually) in the morning and search for the little fella. Paisley has the cutest giggle when he's around! They found him here this morning...he looks so cute on the ledges of the shelves! I just want to kiss him!
Sweet friends
Me- "...That's what's special about being friends, you like the same things..."(getting them both a bowl of Fruity Pebbles)
Ella- "Because we love each other, right Benjamin?"
Benjamin- "Yea!...I guess."
Our First Christmas Treats! Norma made these divine bunuelos...oh my gosh, they are YUM-MEE and so pretty! I almost cried when I looked at them. Taco Bell's Cinnamon Twists will NEVER be the same...mmm...burritos and a Coke sounds delish right now.

Mommy's favorite recent Paisley Quotes:
1. Paisley- "I'm going to to tell Daddy and Ella that the blue ICEE machine isn't working at Target."
Me- "Can I tell them?"
Paisley- "NO! You can tell YOURSELF!"
2. Paisley- (Weighing her hands up and down) "Some people like spicy food and some people don't." or "Some people have a home to sleep in and some people don't." or "Sometimes we can get ice cream? and sometimes we can't?"
She applies this to almost everything she talks about...she's just like her mom...always seeing the different sides to EVERYTHING! Therefore making it hard to make decisions and especially making it hard to be angry at anyone... for too long...;) "Well, if were in her situation...I would have done the same...or I can see how someone would do that in that situation, even though I wouldn't." Story of my life.
3. Me- "Can I eat you?"
Paisley-" No."
Me- "Why?"
Paisley: I'm human. You can eat your food!"
4. Me- " You're so cute Paisley"
Paisley- "I know I am."
Me- "Jesus was born in a stable"
Paisley- "Yea, I know He was."
Me- "Paisley, squares have 12 sides."
Paisley- "Uhuh. I know they do..."
LOL...She is quite the Know-It-All right now. The sweet thing is that she responds with a high pitched voice, like she's just agreeing with me, not that she already knew that and was annoyed or anything. Oh, I do want to eat her, PLEASE?!

I just got a manicure...
I can't help it. It's just so entertaining for me. Plus she's getting to an age where she won't just repeat anything I ask her to say...
