Oh My...I am almost to a point where I can think about this story and not itch EVERYWHERE...And I know that it is disgusting, so please don't comment too harshly, I'm still not over it.
Last Friday morning an hour after I had FINALLY fallen asleep, at 1am, Scott pulls me up by my arm to sit straight up in the bed with him.
"Black, black, black...crawling, everywhere, do you see the bugs?!" At this point, I smack him to wake him up from his every so often "sleep talk."
Fast Forward to after we wake up...
"Scott, you are in trouble. Do you remember what happened last night?" This is what I do after every little "sleep talk" episode, b/c he doesn't remember them. He gets an innocent look on his face. "Did it have to do with bugs?" he says a little embarrassed.
Fast Forward to picking Ella up from school today...
"We found a mother load of lice and eggs in Juliet's hair today in class....and she and Ella were together A LOT today..." says Ella's teacher.
We rushed home to find 3 louse in Ella's beautiful hair! (I know, I've got the ibby jibby's just thinking about it.) THANK HEAVENS we caught it immediately and I didn't find any eggs. We did the whole shabang of a treatment on her. She was so good and is telling people that she had bugs in her hair...in public. ;) I'm just sure people LOVE that.
Ahhhh....I apologize in advance for posting about this Ella and Scott, but really, I think Scott had a crazy intuition about the "black (1) black (2) black(3) louse, crawling around..." He's like...a vampire or something...LOL
Here are some HAIR pictures just for fun.
UPDATE- Apparently lice and bed begs are so common here in the city, people have businesses that will come and de-lice your child and do all of the washing, so that their own parents don't have to do it...hmmmm...I don't know about that.
Our first "sleep talk" experience happened just months after we got married. In the middle of the night, Scott pops his head up and whispers to me, "There's someone behind you." It was the vaccum. This is why I smack him when this happens, how badly would that freak you out?! He doesn't remember what happened the next morning either. Oh well, I love you Scotty.
